Can i weight in early or late?
Weigh-ins start at 9:00 a.m. on FRIDAY for Amateur lifters and 9:00am SATURDAY Pro lifters. They will be held at the Butler County Fairgrounds Event Center (meet site). There are NO day-of your meet weigh-ins. If you are weighing in past 1:00pm, please schedule in advance. THERE WILL BE 2 SCALES/2 WEIGH IN ROOMS.
What am i required to wear?
A singlet is required for this competition. If you are lifting in the equipped division, your squat suit and deadlift suit act as a "one piece suit" so a singlet is not needed, but would be needed to go over your bench shirt. For the raw division, the singlet would be required for all lifts. If you have any questions on where to order a singlet, please let me know. Knee high socks are NOT required for deadlift.
What federation is the meet apart of?
International Powerlifting Association (IPA). Everyone MUST purchase an IPA membership PRIOR TO WEIGH INS. Please print out a copy of your membership card OR present it on your phone at weigh ins. Membership cards can be purchased here: https://ipapower.com/join/
Is this meet unlimited for equipped lifters?
NO. This meet's Equipped division is Multi-Ply, not Unlimited, so Band Shirts are not permitted for the Bench Press.
What bars are used on the platform?
Sportkraft 65 lb Squat Bar
Sportkraft 55 lb Bench Press Bar
Sportkraft 45 lb Deadlift Bar
Is the meet in pounds or kilograms?
Pounds for both the platform (openers and all attempts must be in pounds) and warm up area.
are spectators allowed in the platform area?
NO. Only the lifter, spotters/loaders, judges, 1 handler, and designated photographers are allowed in the roped off platform area. Please do not crawl under the roped off area to get closer to the platform for photos/videos. It is dangerous and crowds the judges and spotters/loaders.
What time should i arrive if i am lifting?
If you are in the first flight, I highly recommend that you start warming up by 7:45am, as we will stop at around 8:00am to do the Rules Briefing and that will take up about 15-20 minutes of your warm up time. So plan accordingly. We will start the meet promptly at 9:00 AM.
